The Tasty Me Black Velvet Cake mix is the perfect base for your Halloween creations. Intensely black in color, deliciously soft and with just that touch of mystery you’re looking for. This is the kind of cake that immediately says: something fun is happening here… and maybe a little bit spooky.
Perfect for creepy cakes, spooky cupcakes or whenever you want to create something that really stands out. Ideal to combine with bright toppings, white cream or blood-red accents for that real wow effect. The fun part? It may look a little scary, but it tastes absolutely delicious. So yes, a little spooky — but mostly just very tasty!
Ingredients:
- 40 ml water
- 3 eggs (size L)
- 150 g vegetable oil (like sunflower, canola, or soybean oil)
Preparation: make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 165°C (or 155°C for a fan oven).
Put the eggs, water, and oil in a mixing bowl and mix briefly. Add the cake mix and whisk for 2 minutes until you have a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into a greased 18-20 cm baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes.
Check whether the cake is done by inserting a skewer into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack and let it cool completely.

The mixes are produced in a gluten-free facility and Tasty Me can therefore guarantee that the mixes contain less than 20mg / 20ppm gluten per kg. From this low amount, most people with celiac disease or glutensitivity do not experience any symptoms.
