Who will you surprise with this irresistible Café Noir Cake? Perfect alongside a good cup of coffee, but just as suitable as a dessert after a (Christmas) dinner. Because let’s be honest… everyone is happy to make room for something this delicious.
This cake is full of flavour and looks beautiful thanks to its layered structure. Extra delicious with chocolate bavarois between the layers, or finished with our Cream Chantilly, a dusting of cocoa powder and some crumbled Lotus biscuits!
Ingredients for 1 cake Ø 18 cm:
- 350 g mix
- 105 g seedoil or soft butter (with butter, the final product will contain lactose)
- 175 g eggs (3-4 pieces size M)
Preparation: make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (convection oven 160 °C). Put the mix in a bowl and add the of seed oil or soft butter (with butter, the final product will contain lactose) and the eggs. Mix for about 3 minutes with a mixer on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. Pour the mixture into a pre-oiled or buttered Ø 18 cm mold. Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes.
