A wonderfully soft and light cake, packed with warm spices that make every bite extra comforting. This is the kind of cake that always fits — on quiet days, during a cosy coffee moment or simply because you’re in the mood for something familiar and delicious.
Perfect to enjoy just as it is, but also delicious with extra ingredients such as finely chopped ginger, lemon zest and cinnamon or speculoos flavouring. Easy to make, full of flavour and always a good idea!
Ingredients:
- 400 g mix
- 200 g eggs (4 pieces size M)
- 125 g soft (cream)butter or oil
Lactose-free recipe: replace the butter with 125 g vegetable oil, such as sunflower or rapeseed oil
Kitchen equipment:
- Bowl
- Mixer
- Cake tin (round approx. 20 cm or rectangular approx. 28 cm)
Preparation: make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (convection oven 160 °C). Lightly grease the cake tin. Mix the mix, the butter or oil, and the eggs in a bowl and mix for approximately 5 minutes at medium speed.
If desired, add extra ingredients such as finely chopped ginger, lemon zest, and cinnamon or speculoos flavouring. Pour the batter into the cake tin, place it in the centre of the oven, and bake for approximately 50 minutes.
Delicious with a dollop of cream chantilly or whipped cream.

The mixes are produced in a gluten‑free facility and Tasty Me can therefore guarantee that the mixes contain less than 20 mg / 20 ppm gluten per kg. From this low amount, most people with celiac disease or glutensitivity do not experience any symptoms.
