Bake the most beautiful and delicious base for your cake with this mix of Zeelandia Moscalux raw material. Make a delicious whipped cream cake, for example, or bake the perfect base for your marzipan or fondant cake.
The sponge cake, also called kapsel has a good volume, fine and regular structure and a short bite. This mix has a delicious neutral flavour and a light yellow colour, so it is easy to add colour with our dyes. You can also easily make stacking cakes due to the biscuit's bearing capacity.
Essentials for a 24-26cm round cake:
330g mix for sponge cake, 250g egg (= 5 eggs mt M), 33ml water, mixer, baking tin, a little butter to grease baking tin.
Preparation:
Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature and preheat the oven to 180°C (hot-air oven 160°C). Mix everything together with a mixer for about 7 minutes on high speed. Continue mixing on low speed for 2-3 minutes (so that any air bubbles in the batter disappear). Butter the baking tin and fill it (1/2 to 2/3 full) with the batter and bake the cake for about 25-30 minutes. The cake is done when it feels springy to the touch. Immediately after baking, remove from the baking tin and let it dry out on a wire rack for a while.
Caution:
Do not open the oven in between baking.

Sugar, TARWE flour, TARWE starch, emulsifiers E472b and E477, raising agents E450 and E500, glucose syrup, skimmed MILK powder, colouring agent E160a. May contain traces of: rye, barley, oats, spelt, egg, soya, sesame, lupin.
Store dry and cool at maximum 25°C and avoid heat sources.
